Doing the UN HQ tour doesn't seem necessary. Most of what you'll see there is stuff you can easily find online. Plus, the line for check-in in the morning is pretty long. While the general assembly floor is somewhat interesting, there isn't a whole lot else to see. Overall, you might end up feeling like you've paid too much for an experience that's slow and inefficient.
